13-1/2" Globe Assembly

Detailed Globe Assembly Instructions

Assembly should be done at room temperature, the plastic frames are tight, and if they are cold, it can make assembly difficult, so let them sit in a warm area to relax the plastic.

-First, fully assemble the frame base, tight, on both sides

-Then stand the frame up, and insert the faces firmly into the bottom, use the alignment mark on the bottom of the face and line it up with the joint in the frame

-Once both faces are lined up on the bottom, pull the frame tops together and put the screw/nut in the tops and start the threads to hold the nut on securely, but still leaving a gap between the two halves of the frame

-Then look inside at 3:00/9:00 to make sure the alignment notch in the glass, lines up with the notch in the frame, if you have to twist a face a little, they move best by putting your fingers or palms on the inside and outside at the bottom and nudge them into position.

-Then tighten the top screw, and it will pull together closing the gap. Sometimes if it is cool out, it may be really tight, just let the body relax and maybe warm up for a little, and then finish tightening it, you would be hard pressed to break a lens, they are really tough.

We recommend using 25-40 watt bulbs, max 60 watt to avoid heat build up in the frames
